Service Team and Advisors

Science Advisors are the first line of quality control for the research projects in Science-i. They oversee and evaluate all the projects in terms of scientific merits and potential impacts.

Science Advisors are reputable scientists in their own expertise areas, and are nominated and selected based on their contribution to Science-i and the scientific community in general, as well as their areas of expertise. Each Advisor is appointed for a three-year term, with the potential for extension.

Similar to Community Advisor, Science Advisor is an honorary title and does not come with any salary and/or compensation. However, a Science Advisor has the following privileges and benefits:

  • Access to any ongoing projects in Science-i as evaluators and reviewers;
  • Priority access to any ongoing projects in Science-i as collaborators and coauthors (upon sufficient contribution);
  • Access to Advisor’s Club, where all the projects will be evaluated and discussed for promotion or removal;
  • Ability to nominate, advocate, or scrutinize research projects from members of a local community;
  • Priority in being selected to serve on the Board, the governing body of Science-i.

As a small token of appreciation, each Advisor will receive a complimentary Indiana hardwood plaque showing the nature and years of service one has done for Science-i.

Community Advisors are the ambassadors of Science-i to local communities. They oversee and evaluate all the research projects in terms of potential impacts on and applications for local communities.

Community Advisors are active community influencers and/or local community leaders, and are nominated and selected based on their roles in and contributions to local communities. Each Advisor is appointed for a three-year term, with the potential for extension.
