Nadezhda Tchebakova

Dr. Nadezhda Tchebakova is a research scientist in climatology and forest ecology. Primary research focus: vegetation modelling, predictions of vegetation, tree species, climatypes, phytomass, biodiversity in a changing climate in the past, present, and future. Dr. Nadezhda Tchebakova is experienced in managing Russian scientific projects from conception to completion; presenting projects achievements at numerous international conferences and peer-reviewed journals.

-1966 – graduated from secondary school (specialisation in mathematics), Silver medal
– 1967-1972 – graduated from Division of Meteorology and Climatology, Geographical faculty, Moscow State University;
– 1972-1975 – post-graduate course in forest ecology at the V.N. Sukachev Institute of Forest, Russian Academy of Sciences;
– 1983 – defended the PhD dissertation in Forest Ecology
– 2006 – defended the doctorate dissertation in Forest Ecology
