Instructions and tools for the Science-i Global Research Network

📊 Directory Metrics & Personal View

The directory tracks our Ongoing Projects, Lead Investigators, and Total Network in real-time. Use the "My Projects" button to instantly filter the list to only show projects where you are a member or administrator.

💡
Dynamic Search Insights: The teal bar re-calculates Found Projects, Unique Scales, and Network Size as you type. This allows for instant "meta-analysis" of specific research sectors.

🔍 Search & Filtering Logic

Keyword Search: Scans Project Titles, Team Member names, and metadata. Use this for specific topics (e.g., "Remeasured") or finding colleagues.
Metadata Filters: Narrow results by Status, Scale (Global to Local), or Data Type. These filters are cumulative and update the Insight Bar instantly.

Sorting: By default, the table is sorted by Last Activity. Projects with recent updates, data uploads, or new members naturally rise to the top.

🚩 Project Management & Lifecycle

As a Project Lead (PI), you control your project's visibility and lifecycle through the Manage tab on your group page:

✅ Lifecycle Tracking

Check off milestones (Board Approved, Data Received, etc.). This populates the Project Pipeline progress bar in 12.5% increments.

✍️ Manuscript Pipeline

Tracking Analysis, Writing, and Submission. This triggers the secondary progress bar, showing completion in 25% increments.

🚫 Membership Control

Use the "Block New Member Requests" setting when your project is in final stages to prevent new join requests while remaining visible in the directory.

📥 Data Exports & Reporting

Authorized users can extract directory data for reporting or collaboration mapping.

Export Features:

Export the currently filtered view using the toolset above the table:

  • CSV / Excel: For member audits and offline data processing.
  • PDF: Generate a clean, professional report of active research initiatives.

Note: Exports only include what is currently visible on your screen based on your filters.
